Earning High School Credits While at Wilderness Treatment Center

Nearly 40% of the clients served at Wilderness Treatment Center are in need of high school credit. For that reason Wilderness Treatment Center has partnered with Blueprint Education so clients in need of high school credit can obtain up to 2.5 credits while in treatment at Wilderness Treatment Center. Those in need of college credit will be assessed and this issue will be addressed in the continuing care recommendations.

Academic Program Overview

There are many benefits to our unique learning model, including a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum based on the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA), North Central Association-Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA-CASI) and NAEP (National Advancement for the Progress of Education), the flexibility of learning anywhere anytime, the support of qualified professional educators, and an individual and self-paced learning program that adapts to your child's unique needs.

Wilderness Treatment Center's program offers 2.5 credits through the completion of four courses. A successful completion of treatment must be achieved to earn these credits.

Wilderness Treatment Center covers the following disciplines:

1) Physical Education (1.0 credit)
2) English - Applied English (0.5 credit)
3) Social Studies - Outdoor Leadership Techniques (0.5 credit)
4) Psychology - Interpersonal Relations (0.5 credit)

Each Client will be graded by Wilderness Treatment Center staff in these individual areas.

This is a free service to families seeking treatment for their loved one.
